"AT THIS TIME, THE WORLD IS CRYING OUT FOR PEACE SINCE IT IS SURROUNDED BY WARS. THE WORLD IS DEVELOPING WEAPONS OF DESTRUCTION RATHER THAN DEVELOPING A CULTURE OF PEACE."
The chairman’s concerns are that people are producing increasingly powerful and destructive weapons than ever before. There are still numerous hostilities and conflicts raging throughout the world, which are caused by a variety of reasons.
People often don't know how to solve such problems in a peaceful way, but rather through aggressive and violent means, because that is the only way they have been exposed to since birth from parents, families, neighbors, friends, community and country.
To this end, Mr. Man Hee Lee initiated peace education for elementary, middle, high school and university students. Through this peace education curriculum, young students, who are the future of our world, will learn to better manage conflict resolution.
Regarding this, Mr. Man Hee Lee said :

I completely agree with his idea. War, rather than peace, is more familiar and recognizable to us through media, internet, television, literature, gaming etc. However, something must cut this cycle of conflicts. Everyone must know that peace is something that we can make come true, and not something Utopian.
Peace can be achieved and maintained forever in a world where people will perceive war to be the more strange and absurd thing. If children learn to talk, discuss, negotiate and resolve problems and conflicts in a peaceful way, the world will change into a peaceful one because a 'peaceful resolution' would become the only way for people to work to end the problem.
Teachers must teach children to make peace with others through 'good' dialogue, not with their fists. Then students will become 'natural peace messengers' who will certainly pass 'peace' on to future generations :) No good parent wants their child to be violent and vicious. Therefore, HWPL's peace education is the best way of making a peaceful world :)
Let's look forward to the day when peace will become very common to all people in the world :)
