[HWPL] 2018 HWPL Highlights of World Peace

Greetings! Family of Peace :)

2018 has been a wonderful year for HWPL and the family of peace with many events, campaigns and activities that spurred on world peace with concrete steps and measures taken. Now let's take a look at HWPL and its chairman Man Hee Lee in 2018 :)

1. Signing of an MOU with the African Union Commission

- 55 African countries signed an MOU with HWPL at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to support the DPCW for introduction to the U.N. as a legally binding international law.

2. Announcement of the "Goseong Agreement" and Signing of the MOU with the Black Sea-Baltic Studies and Consensus Practices

- The Black Sea-Baltic Studies and Consensus Practices (Center BBS), which is comprised of leaders from Eastern Europe signed the 'Goseong Agreement' and the peace MOU with HWPL to support HWPL's initiatives and its DPCW.

3. A Reality that is no longer a Dream: Peace on the Korean Peninsula

- On the 18th of September, the day of the 4th Annual Commemoration of the World Peace Summit hosted in Incheon, South Korea, the leaders of North and South Korea also held a meeting in Pyongyang to discuss peace, ways to foster further interaction and cooperation within the Korean peninsula.

- Two days later, at the 'Lecture Concert for Peaceful Unification on the Korean Peninsula' held in Seoul, South Korea, HWPL and the Institute for Advanced Studies in Levant Culture and Civilization (ISACCL) signed an MOU to promote peace and support HWPL's initiatives and its DPCW for the benefit of the world.

4. The Future of all Children is Peace Education

- In 2018, HWPL newly signed an MOU with the Ministries of Education of Sri Lanka, Colombia, Guatemala and Iraq.

5. Religious Freedom Beginning with Communication

- The Open Dialogue with Religious Leaders and the WARP Office meetings were held globally on 35 and 4 occasions, respectively. This included seeking the truth through a discussion and comparison of scriptures of respective religions for the purpose of world peace.

6. The Dreams of the Youth contained in 155,985 Peace Letters and the Hope of the End of the Korean War seen in the '10 Million Signature Campaign'

- Members of IPYG (International Peace Youth Group) all over the world wrote and sent 155,985 letters to world leaders in many countries, informing them about the DPCW and urging them to support the law for world peace and betterment of humanity. The members of IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) also carried out the '10 Milliion Signature Campaign' for the same purpose.

In 2018, HWPL worked in conjunction with people from various professions including politicians, diplomats, media, legal experts, educational experts, youth, women and religious leaders. Chairman Man Hee Lee and HWPL combined both all its members and the public's strengths to raise awareness for the DPCW and world peace.

I'm certain that HWPL and its chairman Man Hee Lee will continue to work for world peace, and I really hope to see the enactment of the DPCW at the U.N. assembly in 2019.

:)

Peace!
