September 18th 2014 was the day when HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. Chairperson: Mr. Man Hee Lee) held its WARP (World Alliance of Religions' and Peace) Summit for the first time in history. From then on, a global and practical peace campaign for world peace ensued, and HWPL's World Peace Summit is now a worldwide peace festival that displays the overall results of HWPL and its partner groups' peace initiatives (International Women's Peace Group & International Peace Youth Group).

Some readers who frequently visit my blog are already on the same page as I am, but some readers who are visiting my blog for the first time must not understand what I'm talking about because this might be their 'first time' googling 'HWPL', 'WARP Summit', 'Chairman Man Hee Lee' or 'DPCW (Declaration of Peace Cessation of War).'

This article is a very kind guide for people who have never heard of HWPL or its World Peace Summit, DPCW or Chairman Mr. Man Hee Lee. Shall we begin? :) ('NO' is not an option:))

1. What is HWPL? And what are its partner groups?

HWPL is an acronym for Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light. It has two partner groups: IWPG (International Women's Peace Group) and IPYG (International Peace Youth Group). They were all founded in 2013 by Mr. Man Hee Lee for pursuit of an international peace campaign and world peace. IWPG and IPYG were founded to help support HWPL by uniting all womens and youth groups around the world, respectively.

HWPL is an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) registered in Seoul (Seoul Metropolitan City) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Korea, and under the UN (United Nations) ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council). It
now has 170 branches, 158 advisory councils and 506 publicity ambassadors worldwide with countless affiliate groups :)

HWPL, IWPG and IPYG's peace initiatives and projects are as follows

2. Who is Mr. Man Hee Lee? Why does he work for the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) ?

HWPL's chairperson, Mr. Man Hee Lee

Mr. Man Hee Lee is founder of HWPL, IWPG and IPYG, and a global activist for world peace. He was born as an heir to one of the Korean royal families, and he was conscripted into fighting for South Korea (Republic of Korea today) when the Korean War broke out. He experienced the cruel and tragic reality of war himself as a young sergeant. After the war, he resolved in his mind to live for world peace and the peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsular for the rest of his life.

Korean War and Chairperson Man Hee Lee
He has been taking charge of HWPL's peace initiatives including:

- DPCW, Legislate Peace Campaign, May 25th Peace Walk and Peace Letter Campaign to implement the 10 Articles and 38 Clauses of the DPCW (Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War) at the UN General Assembly to achieve world peace.

- Alliance of Religions and WARP (World Alliance of Religions' and Peace) Office to create a platform that helps religions engage in open discussion and mutual understanding for the cessation of all conflicts and wars. According to HWPL's statistics, 80% of wars in the world occur due to religious conflict. This means that if we can reduce religious conflicts to 0% through discussion, mutual understanding and tolerance towards one another, then world peace will not remain a dream but become reality.

- Peace Education: Currently 117 schools (Elementary, middle and high schools, and universities) have signed M.O.Us and adopted HWPL's Peace Education curriculum to teach young people how to live peacefully within the family, community, society and the world. It also promotes peace culture to be spread to future generations for sustainable world peace.

3. What is so special about Chairperson Man Hee Lee?

In the past, there were many heads of states, philosophers, idealists, politicians and peace activists who shouted and cried for peace for their country and for the world. Many prevalent people were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their achievement and they truly deserved it. Nevertheless, the world is still suffering from conflicts and wars because, ultimately, they were unable to solve them.

Mr. Man Hee Lee started his journey for world peace in 2013. When he began his campaign for world peace with his peace groups, he said that he had begun a campaign for world peace because he had the true and only answer for it, which are the main initiatives of the peace groups. The enactment of new international law, resolving religious conflicts, teaching peace to future generations and spreading peace culture to the world.

It is true that the initiatives of Chairman Man Hee Lee are producing great outcomes for world peace, and many peace activists, politicians, diplomats, legal and educational experts, teachers, press, leaders of NGOs and religious leaders are acknowledging the peace group's achievements for peace and their positive outcomes. It shows that Chairman Man Hee Lee 'really' has the 'true and only answer' for world peace, and there is still more to come :)

  2. Very good article. I was just hoping of peaceful world because I don't know how to achieve it. I thought I will never achieve it. But looking closely to DPCW, it has solution to achieve world peace. How grateful I am to know that still there are people giving their best effort to achieve world peace, that we all hope for (but we never take serious action for it). Thank you, and I support you, I will start to spread the good news. Thank you.
