[HWPL] Memorandum of Understanding with the Pan-African Parliament... “Agree on a project to achieve peace and the end of war”

A Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) and HWPL on August 9, 2018.

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL, Chairman Man-Hee Lee) conducted their 29th peace tour in Africa for 11 days from August 8th to 18th, 2018. On August 9, HWPL held an MOU signing ceremony with the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) at the office of the chairman of the PAP Headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This memorandum of understanding was written to achieve the common goal of ending war and achieving peace through cooperation between Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL, Chairman Man-Hee Lee) and the Pan-African Parliament (PAP).

On August 9th 2018, the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) Committee meeting was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Members watched a video of the peace tour prepared by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL).

PAP Chairman Roger Nkodo Dang said, “Because the Pan-African Parliament is a congress of the entire African continent, Chairman Lee's words will be delivered to all 55 countries in Africa. We have to present something helpful and tangible. Chairman Lee can provide answers for the African people,” he expressed his impressions of the MOU.

In addition, while introducing HWPL and Chairman Lee at the PAP meeting, he said, “Africa is facing many challenges, challenges of peace. Chairman Lee’s work and experience will be a great help in building peace in Africa. There are African people who want to hear Lee’s words.”

According to the Memorandum of Understanding, the common goal of PAP and HWPL is to promote a culture of peace, security, stability, and peace among all peoples, including women and youth. Accordingly, the two organizations agreed to cooperate together to implement projects that are effective tools for ending wars and achieving peace for this generation.

On August 9th 2018, a meeting of the Pan-African Committee of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) in Johannesburg, South Africa was held, where HWPL's Chairman Man-Hee Lee signed an MOU with PAP Chairman Roger Eunkodo Dang.

The project proposed by HWPL through a memorandum of understanding is ▲Peace Education ▲Peace Monument ▲Invitation of religious leaders, women and young people to operate the integrated transportation office ▲Activities to support the implementation of the provisions of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)-International Projects of International Youth Peace Group (IPYG) and International Women's Peace Group (IWPG).

Both groups agreed to support each individual's efforts for peace, but more importantly, agreed to work together to ensure that these individual efforts are united for one purpose, with one common goal.

The relationship between HWPL and PAP dates back to August 2016, when HWPL's South African branch attended the PAP Speaker's Conference as an observer. At that time, as an opportunity to observe, Madagascar Parliament's Chairman Jean Max Rakotomamonjy invited HWPL officials to the Madagascar Parliament. After that, HWPL invited chairman Rakatomamonjy of the Madagascar Parliament to the 2nd annual commemoration of the HWPL World Peace Summit, which expanded official exchanges with PAP personnel.

After the 2nd annual commemoration of HWPL's World Peace Summit, HWPL was introduced to PAP Chairman Roger Nkodo Daeng by PAP First Vice Chairman Stephen Julius Masele, and exchanged with PAP International Relations Committee members and the secretariat were also active.

Meanwhile, in August 2018, the news that HWPL Chairman Man-Hee Lee and the peace advocates would visit South Africa was delivered to Parliamentary Speaker Rakotomamonjy and PAP Chairman Roger Eunkodo Dang. Chairman Lee's visit led to the signing of an MOU between PAP and HWPL.

HWPL Chairman Man-Hee Lee spoke at the 2018 Addis Ababa Conference ‘International Cooperation for Sustainable Peace’ forum held at the headquarters of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, South Africa on August 16th, 2018. Major African figures and high-ranking political and legal leaders from the Middle East attended the conference.

On August 9th 2018, the PAP delivered an official letter of support from the Pan-African Parliament regarding the 10 artcles, 38 clauses of the DPCW to HWPL. PAP's support for the DPCW had the same meaning as the support of 55 African countries.

After Chairman Lee's trip to Africa, PAP Chairman Roger Eunkodo Daeng sent PAP officials to the 4th annual commemoration of the HWPL World Peace Summit held in Korea in September 2018. PAP officials' attendance at the 5th HWPL World Peace Summit's commemorative ceremony led to a firm trust in HWPL's peace activities.
