Foreign dignitaries, who cherished memories of the WARP Summit in September 2014 where 200,000 people from all over the world gathered to establish new beginnings for the cessation of war and world peace, visited Korea to commemorate its 1st annual commemoration with enthusiastic support for this movement of peace.

On September 17th 2015, a ceremony to commemorate the first anniversary of the HWPL WARP Summit was held at the Peace Gate in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul. The Peace Gate is a meaningful place as it is where the Declaration of World Peace was proclaimed by HWPL in 2013, and where the peace walk for the HWPL WARP Summit began in 2014. The 'Declaration of Unification' (of Korea) had also been prepared since 2010. About 57,000 members, including former and incumbent presidents and prime ministers, leading international law experts, and youth, women and religious leaders from 92 countries attended this commemorative event.

For two days, on the 18th and 19th, the participants were divided into 7 sessions: ▲President, Prime Minister, Minister ▲International law experts ▲Law experts ▲Leaders/representatives of each religion ▲Women's group (IWPG) ▲Youth group (IPYG) ▲Overseas media. Practical ways to achieve peace were discussed and established, and participants pledged to implement it.

"Every meeting is like a letter to God," said Akani Renmalobola, a reporter for Eyewitness News and public relations consultant in South Africa. As a result, she committed to creating a program dedicated to HWPL.

A particularly noteworthy achievement during the 1st Annual Commemoration was the establishment of the HWPL International Law Peace Committee with its 21 appointed members for the enactment of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW, 10 Articles and 38 Clauses).

The '2015 HWPL International Conference: Presentation of the Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts' was hosted on the 19th September, where Chairman Man-Hee Lee and experts laid the groundwork for the 10 articles and 38 clauses of the DPCW, which was publicly proclaimed one year later and stunned the world.

The committee included a total of 21 leading experts, including Kamal Hossein (Bangladesh), Vice Chairman of the International Law Association; Nazrul Islam (Bangladesh), Professor of International Law; Fathi Kemicha (Tunisia), former UN International Law Commissioner; Ahmed Mohamed Lipat (Egypt), former President of Benny Swipe University, Ibrahim. 13 international law scholars were officially appointed including Ibrahim Mashhoor Hadithah Al Jazy (Jordan), former Minister of Justice; Kedar Nath Upadhyay (Nepal), President of the International Law Association; Enver Hasani (Kosovo), former President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo; and Franklin Hoet-Linares (Venezuela), President of the World Jurist Association.

They pointed out that current international law has many irregularities because it considers only national interest, so they agreed that a strong international law that can act as a deterrent should be enacted. Furthermore, the drafting of the Convention on the Renunciation and Cessation of War and International Armed Conflicts was discussed in-depth.

Regarding the direction of the enactment of international law for the cessation of war, Chairman Lee said, “If international peace law is enacted, wars will be prohibited on all grounds. We must first establish this law and then implement it.”

Former UN International Law Commissioner Fathi Kemicha (Tunisia) said, “As seen all over the world, some countries and groups are choosing war rather than resolving conflicts over diplomatic issues. The answer to solving unavoidable confrontation of opinions will eventually have to be found elsewhere. And the place that gives the answer is international law promoted by HWPL.”

Kamal Hossein (Bangladesh), Vice Chairman of the International Law Association, said: “We need to know the need to work together with the millions of forces who want an end to violence and armed conflict. We must work together with the people of other countries,” he said.

Former Minister of Justice (Jordan), Ibrahim Mashhoor Hadithah Al Jazy also pointed out that the major issue with current international law is that no efforts are made to cease war without national interest. He asserted, “Current international law states that force can be used as a last resort, but this must be amended.”

At this conference, there were voices calling for religious leaders to assume their roles. Archbishop Makarios of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church pointed out, "Persecution, killing, and starting wars for the reason of different ideologies and ideologies is not the true will of God, nor can it be seen as a religion given by heaven." He continued, "We must take responsibility as religious leaders and now we must love and practice peace."

At the Religious Leaders' Peace Conference held on September 18th 2015, Chairman Man-Hee Lee gave a speech where he explained the importance of religious unity

Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, Chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in Philippines, also declared, “We must acknowledge the differences of religion and stop causing further religious disputes and conflicts.”

Attendees who experienced both the 1st WARP Summit and the 1st Annual Commemoration were amazed at the deeds of Chairman Man-Hee Lee and HWPL.

Former Prime Minister of Armenia, Hrant Bagratyan Armena said, "It is impressive that everything that HWPL proposed at the 1st World WARP Summit is being realized one by one."

Philippine PTV News reporter Elizabeth Kachin, who has been covering HWPL's achievements in the Philippines and the WARP Summit said, "It's really fortunate and high expectations that HWPL is doing what HWPL said. Chairman Lee's peace activity is different from politicians. I feel his genuine sincerity so actively reporting his work”.
