[HWPL] Peace Tours of Man-Hee Lee (39): United Nations gives ear to Keynote Speech of Chairman Lee at Invitation to UN Peace Conference during 70th Regular Session of the UN General Assembly
After the first anniversary of the World Alliance of Religions' Peace (WARP) Summit on September 18, 2015, the fortuitous destination that played host to Chairman Lee was New York City, USA, the location of the 20th Peace Tour (September 27-October 1, 2015). On September 28, 2015, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, around 160 leading dignitaries, including heads of state, gathered at the UN Headquarters to attend the 70th session of the UN General Assembly.
Kamal Hossain, former Minister of Foreign Affairs in Bangladesh and an international legal scholar, formed a special relationship with Chairman Lee at the WARP Summit held in Seoul, South Korea. He is one of 29 signatories to the 'Agreement to Propose the Enactment of International Law for the Cessation of Wars and World Peace', which calls for the institution of an international law for the cessation of war.
Appointed as a member of HWPL’s ‘International Law Peace Committee (ILPC)’, Dr. Hossain is actively progressing Chairman Lee’s proposal for the enactment of the ‘Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War (DPCW)’, an international law on the cessation of war, to the United Nations.
At the UN Headquarters Summit on September 28, 2015, keynote speeches by the presidents of each country were in full swing. At the same time, in Conference Room 3 of the UN Headquarters, the 'Global Peace Leadership: Women, Youth and Interfaith Dialogue' was held with representatives from various fields, including religious leaders, heads of the UN, women's, youth, and media organizations.
In light of the crisis of religion as the catalyst behind the majority of historical conflict up until the present day, the progress made by HWPL and Chairman Lee in appealing for religious unity and achieving it through concrete steps of peace is an achievement that the United Nations acknowledges.

He went on to say, “If our religious people do well, humanity will survive eternally.”
Immediately after the meeting, Chairman Lee appointed three people as HWPL Peace Ambassadors and entrusted them with the mission of peace: Princess Maria Torres, Founder and President of 'We Care for Humanity', Nikhil Chandra Narayanbhai Trivedi, representative of The International Society for Krishna (Brooklyn, New York), and Rashad Alkhader, Deputy Minister of Justice and Women's Rights.
